Photography by Morné

Morné is an award-winning, published freelance photographer in Adelaide.

Morné was born in Namibia and lived in South Africa until he finished year 12. He then travelled to England to work, where he met Keturah.

Returning to South Africa in 2002 he completed a Diploma of Photography at the prestigious National College of Photography in Pretoria.

In 2003 he moved to Australia and began working for News Limited, where he stayed as a full time photographer in Adelaide for 5 years.

In 2009 Morné won the SA Press Club Award for the best sports photograph of the year and a South Australian National Football League award for best action photograph.

In 2010 Morné had a photographic book published with Keturah, by Art Publishers in South Africa and an exhibition in Adelaide, on grass-roots soccer in South Africa, in time for the World Cup. See 'Projects' for details and pictures.

Now as a freelance photographer he photographs frequently for Getty Images and The Australian as well as various magazines.

He excels in sport and editorial photography.
